Questions, Questions, Questions

I have just looked at the requirement for this weeks meditation and can honestly say that right now, I am very stressed about all the questions we have to answer.  Questions, questions, questions.  That is irritating in it of itself.  I cannot even force myself to engage in this exercise right now.  My brain is so tired of the constant exercising of thinking and writing, thinking and writing.  I am getting really burned out.  I cannot wait until this class is over.

I would for once love to beable to meditate, that be the only exercise, and then write our thoughts, feeling, emotions, how we felt when we were all done with it.  Why can't it be that simple? I think most of us would learn more if our meditation exercises were enjoyable, rather than having to answer questions upon questions.  Knowing that we have all that do do every week, plus the intense questions in our discussion board.  I am so exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Yvette, I so understand where you are coming from. My exhaustion hit last week and I did post my original work for the DB and Blog until last night. Before I left work to come home and think, write, read, think, write and read I made a list of what I felt was the most important based upon the point value. I did not complete the Unit 6 exercises.

Asking questions is more of my forte, not answering. I think we should come up with a quiz as a class project for our Professor's. Have a good night. I wanted to be good and get started early this week, but I am tired. We are extremely short-handed at work and for the next week I have to go in 3 hours early. The good thing is I get off 3 hours early. I would like to make next week a good beginning to exercising again.

    Thank you for your thoughts!

  2. Hi Yvette! I'm right there with you girl friend! I love what this class is teaching us but jeeze they are stressing us out in teaching us to how to relax! Read multiple chapters answer multiple questions do exercises every week which by the way are only worth 10 points and each of mine end up being at least 4 pages long oh, and God forbid if you don't turn it in on time you will get a big fat zero! lol

I hold nothing against the Professor, I think he is great and I learn a lot from him and I know he doesn't make up the rules. : ) But I think the work load for this class is too much.

    Whew, I feel better now. : )

Whoever reads the End of Term Student Satisfaction Survey is going to get an earful from this class! lol

Happy Mother's Day! I hope your week gets better!

  3. Hi Everyone, I think I need to go back and double check our assignments for this week. I was actually feeling like this week offered a bit of a "Mother's Day reprieve". This is my first 400 level class, and from what my husband continues to tell me, this is a common work load for this level course. (Not that I'm not as exhausted as the rest of you!)
I just keep trying to stay focused, keep my family informed of what I have to do and so on.
Unfortunately, because I was bombarded with crap from all angles last week, I didn't take my youngest daughter to one of her soccer practices and my older daughter to one of her volleyball practices - as it turned out, they were each penalized and stood on the sidelines this weekend as a consequence for my decisions. ARGH! (All I keep thinking is how those two choices bumped me to the front of the line for the "Mother of the year award") Fortunately, my kids are resilient and awesome and just said "I could've scored if they'd let me. So much for the community sticking together, Mom. They know how that was not your usual behavior- you've there for every practice and game."

At any rate... I hear what you are all saying. Please try the relaxation exercises again. If, for just a few minutes - you need it, your brain needs it, and you'll feel better.
    See you tonight at seminar.
